💖 Why This Recipe Works
- Naturally sweet with no added sugar
- Great source of fiber, potassium, and antioxidants
- Comes together in under 5 minutes flat
🌟 Star Ingredients

- Banana – Smoothie MVP! Bananas add creamy texture and natural sweetness, so there’s no need for extra sugar. Frozen slices = instant chill and thickness. I always keep a stash of sliced bananas in the freezer for that thick, frosty texture. It’s like smoothie gold.
- Roasted Beetroot – This is where the magic (and the color!) happens. Roasting beetroot deepens its earthy flavor and makes it blend like butter. It’s packed with antioxidants and turns your smoothie into a pink powerhouse that looks as good as it tastes.
- Soy Milk – Silky, dairy-free, and packed with plant-based protein to keep you full. It’s mild, so it lets the other flavors shine.
- Lemon Juice – Just a splash lifts the whole smoothie. It adds brightness and cuts the earthy tones with a citrusy kick.
📖 Substitutions & Variations
- Dairy-free? You’re good with any non-dairy milk: almond, oat, cashew—it all works.
- Want protein? Toss in a scoop of vanilla protein powder or a spoonful of nut butter.
- Extra veggies? Add spinach or kale for a green upgrade with no flavor compromise.
- Craving chocolate? A spoonful of cocoa powder gives you a chocolate beet smoothie vibe.
- Low waste tip: Use frozen banana for extra chill without adding ice!

👩🍳 Expert Tips
- Use a high-powered blender – Beetroot can be fibrous, so you want that smooth finish!
- Freeze bananas in slices – Makes the texture creamier without diluting it like ice.
- Add lemon last – A splash at the end helps brighten the flavor perfectly.
