👩🍳 Expert Tips
Think you're ready to give this recipe a try? Here are some tips and tricks to help you nail it.
- I used white sugar for this recipe, but you can also use brown sugar to sweeten the pumpkin spice latte. This will lend a nice caramel-like flavor to the warmly spiced drink.
- While you can use skim milk for this recipe, I would suggest using whole milk if you really want to enjoy the creamiest latte.
- I would also recommend adding a pinch or two of ground cloves and some cinnamon sticks into the milk while it is till on heat.
- You can also make an iced version of latte by allowing the milk mixture to cool down and then mix in a cold brew.
- For a more intense pumpkin flavor, you can use homemade pumpkin puree into the mix. You can easily make it yourself with some canned pumpkin.
💭 FAQs
You sure can! You can use oat milk, almond milk or even some coconut milk if you're trying to make a vegan pumpkin spice latte. You'll also want to top the drink with some coconut cream instead of the regular whipped cream.
You can also try a naturally sweetened version of this pumpkin spice latte. Maple Syrup is a great option, but of course, you could also opt for stevia or other sweeteners.
To make the pumpkin spice latte more frothy, you can use a milk frother to froth the hot milk mixture before adding the coffee in. If you don't have a milk frother, you can use an immersion blender too.
