Expert Tips

Ready to give this homemade white bread recipe a shot? Here are some more tips and tricks you might want to take note of.

  • I used vegetable oil to add moisture to the bread dough, but you can also choose to use olive oil, coconut oil, unsalted butter or even some canola oil if you want to.
  • Remember to add warm water into the bread flour mixture one cup at a time to keep the mixture from getting overly soft.
  • Remember not to add too much flour and wait until the dough has risen- ideally doubled in size. This will make sure you don’t end up with dense bread.
  • You can place the dough in an oiled bowl or just brush melted butter in a mixing bowl or your loaf pans and then place the dough in a warm place until doubled in size before you bake it.
  • Make sure you allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled- the flour mixture should ideally look smooth and elastic before you even bake it.
  • You can choose to bake bread until you find it reaching the desired color. A golden brown crust looks amazing and has the perfect soft inside.

Substitutions

  • You can also try using whole wheat flour or all purpose flour if you don’t have the bread flour that the recipe calls for.
  • If you don’t have bread machine yeast, you can use active dry yeast or instant yeast to help the bread mixture rise.
  • You can switch the oil for butter if you prefer. We use oil in this recipe.

Variations

  • Fruit And Nuts: Sometimes, I also like to bring in some variations to this easy bread recipe and add in some other ingredients like chopped nuts or dried fruits. Raisin bread is one of my absolute favorites.

Storage Instructions

Another reason why this has to be the best bread recipe out there is because you can actually make it in advance.

  • Fridge: The bread can be transferred to loaf pans and refrigerated for up to a day. Just make sure to get it out and allow it to come to room temperature before you bake it.
  • Store: You can also store your leftover bread in a bread box or in a container covered with some plastic wrap to preserve its freshness.

How Can I Use Homemade White Bread?

You can use this sandwich bread in tons of different ways. I like to use it to make some French Toast or my homemade sandwiches- the golden brown on the outside just adds to its beauty.

FAQ’S

Can I Make this Without a Bread Mixer?

Yes, you can! You can combine all the ingredients for the bread recipe in a large bowl and combine everything using a stand mixer.
After this, you can take it a step further and knead the bread flour mixture onto a lightly floured before you transfer it to a greased bread pan.
