Enjoy perfectly cooked, juicy Air Fryer Chicken Breast with this simple and quick recipe! Thinly sliced chicken breasts are seasoned to perfection and cooked to a golden crisp in the air fryer.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Combine smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped onion, minced garlic, and avocado oil in a small bowl to prepare the marinade.
You can either slice the chicken breasts into thin strips before air frying or cook them whole and slice afterward. (We cooked them whole and sliced after for the photos—both ways work great!)
Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or zip-top bag, then pour the marinade over them. Make sure they’re well coated, and let them sit for 15–20 minutes so the flavors really soak in.
Once marinated, transfer the chicken breasts from the marinade to the air fryer basket, arranging them in a single layer with the rounded side down.
If cooking whole and slicing after: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 22 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
If sliced before cooking: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking to lock in the juices. Then slice (if needed), garnish with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon.
Notes
Use a sharp knife for clean, uniform slices—it helps everything cook evenly.Don’t skip the rest—letting the chicken sit for 5 minutes after cooking makes it way juicier.Add flavor layers—sprinkle with lemon zest or fresh herbs just before serving for an extra kick.
