Get cozy with a homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte! This creamy, flavorful latte combines rich espresso with warm pumpkin spices and a touch of sweetness, creating the perfect fall-inspired drink.
In a small saucepan, add the milk, pumpkin puree and sugar. Let it cook on medium heat.
Remove right BEFORE it starts boiling. (you’ll start to see the steam coming off the milk). Then add the vanilla extract and the pumpkin pie spice. Whisk until well combined.
Pour the milk in a glass or mug and pour the coffee on top.
Then top with whipped cream and sprinkle some more pumpkin pie spice on top. Enjoy while hot!
Notes
I used white sugar for this recipe, but you can also use brown sugar to sweeten the pumpkin spice latte. This will lend a nice caramel-like flavor to the warmly spiced drink. While you can use skim milk for this recipe, I would suggest using whole milk if you really want to enjoy the creamiest latte.I would also recommend adding a pinch or two of ground cloves and some cinnamon sticks into the milk while it is till on heat. You can also make iced pumpkin spice latte by allowing the milk mixture to cool down and then mix in a cold brew. For a more intense pumpkin flavor, you can use homemade pumpkin puree into the mix. You can easily make it yourself with some canned pumpkin.
