These Cantaloupe Prosciutto Bites are a sweet and salty combo that’s fresh, light, and oh-so-delicious! Perfect for a quick snack or a fancy appetizer.
Slice the cantaloupe in half and remove the seeds. Use a melon baller to scoop out round, uniform balls of cantaloupe.
Cut each prosciutto slice in half lengthwise and fold each strip accordion-style to form ribbons.
Thread a cantaloupe ball onto a skewer, followed by a folded piece of prosciutto, arranging it neatly. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
Place the skewers on a platter or stand them upright in a halved cantaloupe.
Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving to keep them fresh and enhance the flavors.
Notes
Choose a Ripe Cantaloupe: A ripe cantaloupe will smell sweet at the stem end and feel slightly soft when pressed.Uniform Balls: Use a melon baller to ensure the cantaloupe pieces are consistent in size for a polished presentation.Handle Prosciutto Gently: Prosciutto can tear easily, so fold it carefully to keep it intact.Chill Before Serving: Refrigerate the assembled bites to bring out the best flavor and keep them fresh.
