Air Fryer Stuffed Chicken Breast with Apple and Cheese is a delicious twist on a classic! Juicy chicken breasts are stuffed with sweet, crisp apples and creamy cheese, then air-fried to golden perfection. The combination of savory chicken, sweet apples, and melted cheese creates a flavorful and satisfying dish that's perfect for an easy yet impressive dinner!
Season the chicken breast with ½ of the spices. Place each chicken breast in the air fryer basket and spray with oil. Cook at 400°f for 8 minutes.
While cooking, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and add the apple cider vinegar and remaining spices. Bring the sauce to a boil and stir until the sauce thickens. Set aside
Remove and let cool to touch. Using a sharp knife, slice a pocket into the side of the chicken breast. You can also experiment with other kinds of cheeses like feta cheese, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese mozzarella cheese or even some shredded Parmesan cheese.
Slice the Munster cheese into small triangles and stuff the chicken with the slices of apples and cheese in layers.
Return the cooked stuffed chicken to the air fryer basket, brush with the sauce and then cook for 12 more minutes.
Remove, let cool and enjoy.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness—especially helpful when cooking from frozen or with extra-large chicken breasts.
Thicker cuts may need an extra 3–5 minutes per side. Don’t overcrowd the basket so the hot air can circulate fully.
Frozen stuffed chicken can go straight into the air fryer. Just add 7–10 minutes to the total cook time and brush with oil midway through to help crisp the outside.
