Open the can of sweetened condensed milk. If you prefer using a glass jar or mason jar instead, ensure it's tightly sealed. Cover the can or jar tightly with aluminum foil.
Place the covered can or mason jar on the trivet inside the Instant Pot.
Fill up the Instant Pot with water to cover the can or jar halfway, ensuring not to exceed the max fill line.
Close the Instant Pot and seal it. Select “manual, high pressure” for 35 minutes. Due to the amount of water, it will take about 30 minutes to reach pressure. Ensure the pressure valve is set to the sealing position.
Pressure cook for 30 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally (about 15–20 minutes)
Remove the can or mason jar from the Instant Pot using tongs. Transfer to a cooling rack. Allow it to completely cool before opening.
Your own Dulce De Leche is ready to serve! This Instant Pot Dulce De Leche is delicious with apples, ice cream, or enjoyed by itself.
Notes
Sweetness Level: Adjust the sweetness by varying the cooking time. Longer cooking times yield a darker, richer caramel.Cooling Prior to Opening: Always ensure the unopened can or jar is completely cooled before opening to prevent any mishaps.
