Preheat the oven to 350°F. Unroll the crescent roll dough and flatten it evenly. (You can use any dough, but a crescent roll works best.)
Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into long strips, top to bottom. You'll need about two strips for each hot dog.
Wrap the dough strips around each hot dog, creating mummy-like bandages. Leave a gap at the top for the face.
Repeat this process for all the hot dogs.
Place the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet. Brush with egg wash to make them golden brown, then bake for 15 minutes.
Once baked, remove from the oven. Add candy eyes using a tiny dot of mustard or ketchup. Serve and enjoy your spooky Halloween Mummy Hot Dogs!
Notes
Freeze Dough for 5 Minutes: Chilling the dough makes it easier to cut and handle.Add Cheese: Wrap a slice of cheese around the hot dog before adding the dough for extra gooey goodness.Use Parchment Paper: Line the baking sheet to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.Crispier Finish: Sprinkle a little garlic or onion powder on the egg wash for extra flavor and crunch.
