Halloween Apple Monsters
These Halloween Apple Monsters are a fun, easy, and creative treat that kids will love making and eating! With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a spooky snack perfect for Halloween parties or a fun after-school treat.
Ingredients
- 1 Granny Smith Apple
- 2 tablespoon Peanut Butter
- 2 Strawberries
- 28 Sunflower Seeds
- Edible Eyes
Instructions
- Start by cutting the apple into quarters. Lay each quarter flat on its peel side. Carefully cut a 1-inch wedge in the middle of the peel side of each quarter, being sure not to cut all the way through so the quarter stays in one piece. It should now look like a little "mouth." Next, slice the strawberries lengthwise into four pieces.
- Take the apple "mouths" and spread a little peanut butter inside the cutout. This will be the base for the tongue and teeth. Place one of the strawberry slices inside the cutout to resemble a tongue sticking out.
- Add the finishing touches! Poke 6 or 7 sunflower seeds along the top edge of the cutout to look like monster teeth. Then, stick two edible eyes on the top of each apple quarter to give your monster a face.
- Your spooky and silly Halloween Apple Monsters are ready! Serve them up and enjoy the fun!
