I’m so glad we were able to hit farmer’s market season in Omaha before we move to Kansas! Omaha has some of the best market’s we’ve seen in the area not to mention so many location options. If you ever get a chance to visit Omaha, I definitely recommend hitting up the Saturday & Sunday markets for plenty of food inspiration. I was a teeny bit disappointed that I didn’t see any morels since I know they have such a short season. Maybe I’ll get lucky next week! Either way, inspired by all the lovely fresh asparagus it reminded me I have a handful of recipes you may not have had a chance to check out so I figured I’d share my 5 easy asparagus recipes!
This is made with my favorite cassava flour, duck fat pie crust. It’s dead simple but also looks pretty impressive. Perfect for any spring brunch!
Make this when you’re ready to let the simple flavors of your asparagus shine. Nothing fancy & minimal ingredients. This is such an easy side dish for dinner & ready in minutes!
This recipe highlights the sweet, sweet overlap of asparagus & morel season. Morels are a wild mushroom that people pay a high dollar for & their season is frighteningly short here in the midwest! Save up your pennies & snatch these up at the market to make this fantastic seasonal dish!
Frittatas are basically perfect all day long. Breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. They can be made in a snap & are awesome at loading up with veggies. Use this recipe as a template, get creative & add your own ingredients!
For some way early EYB food photography & my favorite flavor trifecta, don’t miss this one! Bacon. Goat cheese. Enough said. This one will please everyone.42
